  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully blended.
  4. Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then gradually blend into the creamed mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  6. Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Take a scoop of cookie dough, flatten it, and place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center.
  8. Fold the dough around the filling and roll into a ball.
  9. Place the cookie balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
