  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 cup long-grain rice, uncooked
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the uncooked rice, beef broth, and cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, then return to the oven uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
