These cheesy taco sticks are a delightful twist on classic tacos, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 taco seasoning packet
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
  • Taco toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to pizza dough package instructions.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s nicely browned. Be sure to drain any excess fat for a leaner dish.
  3. Sprinkle in the taco seasoning and add water as indicated on the packet. Cook according to seasoning packet instructions until the mixture is heated through and aromatic.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the refrigerated pizza dough and cut it into strips; uniform sizes will help them bake evenly!
  5. Place a spoonful of the taco mixture and a handful of cheese on each strip. Be generous—the more cheese, the better!
  6. Carefully roll up each strip, making sure the filling stays inside. Place them seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
  7. Bake according to the pizza dough instructions, or until golden brown and your kitchen is filled with irresistible smells.
  8. Serve warm with taco toppings on the side, inviting everyone to customize their cheesy taco sticks just the way they like.

Notes

These taco sticks pair wonderfully with dips like guacamole, salsa, or queso. Make ahead by preparing the filling in advance and rolling them up just before serving.
