A delightful Cherry Cobbler that blends the tartness of juicy cherries with a soft, buttery crust, making it the perfect comfort dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen cherries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine your cherries, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the cherry mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Mix the remaining sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter evenly over the cherry mixture.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the batter.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.

Notes
