Savor the warmth of home with these delicious, crispy chicken cutlets that are easy to make and full of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Flatten the chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap or parchment paper using a meat mallet or rolling pin to an even thickness of about ½ inch.
  2. Set up your breading station with three shallow dishes: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs.
  3. Season the flour with salt and pepper, mixing gently to combine.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and lastly coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat; it’s ready when a breadcrumb sizzles on contact.
  6. Fry the chicken cutlets for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Drain cooked cutlets on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

For added flavor, mix grated Parmesan into the breadcrumbs. You can also bake the cutlets at 400°F for a healthier alternative.
