A delightful dish of pan-fried chicken breasts in a tangy lemon and caper sauce, ideal for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Capers
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge the chicken in flour, shaking off the excess.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  5. Sauté garlic in the same skillet for 30 seconds.
  6. Add chicken broth, lemon juice, and capers; bring to a simmer.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

Pairs well with mashed potatoes or arugula salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
