A delightful twist on classic brownies, combining rich chocolate with tart cherries for a fudgy, flavorful dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sweet cherries, pitted and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the brownie mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  9. Allow brownies to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days at room temperature or up to a week in the refrigerator.
