A moist and tender banana bread loaded with chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth and stir in the melted butter.
  3. Combine the baking soda and a pinch of salt into the banana mixture.
  4. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in the flour until just incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture. Don’t skip the cooling step for easier slicing.
