A delightful and easy recipe for moist banana bread studded with chocolate chips, perfect for any time of day.

  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray and set aside.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and a pinch of salt into the mixture and stir until incorporated.
  5. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  6. Sift in the flour and fold gently into the mixture until just incorporated.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top if necessary.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes
