  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, blending well, and then stir in vanilla.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
  5. Mix the dry and wet ingredients gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Scoop and shape the dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  11. Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
