Deliciously soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies with a perfect balance of sweetness and richness.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour and baking soda.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gradually incorporate the flour mixture into the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and salt.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle a little sea salt on top before baking.
