  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, ensuring well incorporation.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For chewier cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on the baking sheet.
