  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Dissolve the baking soda in hot water and add it to the batter along with the salt.
  5. Stir in the flour until well incorporated, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased pans, leaving space for spreading.
  7. Bake for about 10 minutes or until the edges are nicely browned.

Notes
