  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 large egg

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 23 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a spacious bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Create the Dough: In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk and butter until warm. Combine with dry ingredients, add the egg, and knead until smooth.
  3. Let It Rise: Transfer dough into a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  4. Roll Out and Fill: Punch down the dough, roll it out, and spread with chocolate, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. Shape the Rolls: Roll the dough into a log, slice, and place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Second Rise: Cover and let rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake to Perfection: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden-brown.
  8. Prepare the Glaze: While baking, whisk together powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and milk until smooth.
  9. Final Touch and Serve: Drizzle warm glaze over rolls and serve.
