A quick and indulgent chocolate mug cake that’s eggless and packed with protein, perfect for a busy day.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or agave syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: chocolate chips or nuts for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a microwave-safe mug: all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
  2. Add in the wet ingredients: almond milk, maple syrup (or agave syrup), and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Stir in optional chocolate chips or nuts for added flavor.
  4. Microwave on high for 1 minute, watching as the cake rises.
  5. Allow to cool for 1 minute before serving.
