Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 12 tablespoons milk (if needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Mint Patty Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, powdered sugar, softened butter, peppermint extract, and enough milk to form a dough.
  2. Shape the Patties: Roll the mixture into small balls and then flatten them gently into patties.
  3. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave or double boiler, melt the chocolate chips until smooth.
  4. Coat the Patties: Dip each patty in the melted chocolate, ensuring they’re fully coated.
  5. Set the Patties on a Tray: Place the coated patties on a parchment-lined tray.
  6. Garnish with Minty Goodness: Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle the crushed mint candies or dessert sprinkles on top.
  7. Refrigerate until Set: Pop the tray in the refrigerator until the chocolate is set.
