Decadent brownie base topped with a silky mousse and glossy ganache, perfect for gatherings.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate for ganache

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate together over low heat, stirring continuously.
  3. Combine the melted mixture with sugar until fully incorporated.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Incorporate the vanilla extract.
  6. Fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are set and center remains gooey.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool at room temperature.
  9. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  10. Make the ganache by melting the remaining chocolate and letting it cool slightly.
  11. Layer the mousse over the cooled brownies.
  12. Drizzle the ganache over the mousse.
  13. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
  14. Cut into bite-sized portions and serve.

Notes

For the best flavor, use high-quality chocolate. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
