Delightful homemade cinnamon rolls swirled with cinnamon and brown sugar, topped with creamy icing. Perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and eggs.
  3. Mix to form a dough: Using a wooden spoon or your hands, mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes.
  4. First rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. Roll out: Once risen, roll it out into a rectangle, spread melted butter over it, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll and slice: Starting from one side, roll the dough tightly and cut it into slices.
  7. Second rise: Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Icing delight: Mix powdered sugar with milk and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
