  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar or cream cheese frosting for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  3. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, blend the sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and applesauce.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Allow the cake to cool before serving, then dust with powdered sugar or add cream cheese frosting.
