A rich and comforting dish featuring marbled beef sirloin in a velvety sauce of sour cream and Worcestershire sauce, served over egg noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until softened and fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are tender and golden.
  5. Stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream. Once combined, return the beef to the skillet.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, adjusting according to your preference.
  8. Serve the creamy beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh touch.

Notes

For added freshness, serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables. A crusty piece of bread is recommended for soaking up the sauce.
