Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup cauliflower florets
  • 1 cup carrot slices
  • 1 cup Brussels sprouts, halved
  • 1 cup cream or milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and Brussels sprouts. Cook for about 5 minutes until they are slightly tender. Drain well and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream (or milk), shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well blended.
  4. In a casserole dish, layer the cooked vegetables evenly.
  5. Pour the creamy mixture over the vegetable layer, ensuring every piece is well coated.
  6. Top with breadcrumbs and drizzle with olive oil to add an extra crunch.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let the casserole cool slightly before serving to enhance flavors.

Notes

Feel free to mix and match your favorite winter vegetables, or use a combination of cheeses for varied flavor. For a lighter option, consider whole or plant-based milk instead of cream.
