Crispy Crab and Shrimp Queso Taquitos

Delicious taquitos filled with crab and shrimp, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup queso cheese (or shredded cheese of choice)
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine crab meat, chopped shrimp, queso cheese, diced onion, cilantro, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well mixed.
  2. In a pan, heat oil over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
  3. Take a tortilla and place a generous spoonful of the crab and shrimp mixture near one edge. Roll it tightly into a taquito, tucking in the sides.
  4. Carefully place the rolled taquitos in the hot oil. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the taquitos from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with salsa or guacamole.

Notes

These taquitos can also be baked for a healthier option. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
