Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and season the chicken breasts.
  2. Place flour in a shallow dish and season it with salt and pepper. In another bowl, whisk the eggs with water. In a third dish, mix Panko breadcrumbs with Parmesan and Italian seasoning.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour, dip in the egg mixture, then press into the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Melt butter in a separate saucepan and cook minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Stir in additional flour and cook for another minute, then gradually whisk in chicken broth and cream. Whisk for 5-7 minutes until smooth and thick.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in additional Parmesan until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  9. Serve the chicken immediately topped with garlic cream sauce and garnish with parsley.
