  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  2. Prepare chicken coating: Dip the chicken pieces into the beaten egg, then coat with the prepared flour mixture.
  3. Heat the oil: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
  4. Fry until crispy: Place the coated chicken pieces in the hot oil, frying until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Mix the sauce: In a bowl, mix the soy sauce and honey together.
  6. Toss everything together: Toss the cooked chicken with the soy sauce mixture and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve hot: Serve your crispy sesame chicken hot, with steamed rice or fresh greens.

Notes

For extra crunch, sprinkle additional sesame seeds before serving. Can add red pepper flakes for spice or use crushed nuts instead of sesame seeds.
