Delicious plant-based crispy tofu nuggets perfect for a snack or meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1 cup of plant-based milk
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut it into nugget-sized pieces.
  2. Mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Dip each tofu piece in plant-based milk, then coat it in the flour mixture.
  4. Roll the coated tofu in breadcrumbs until well covered.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the nuggets for about 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Make sure to press the tofu well for optimal texture. You can also bake these nuggets at 400°F for a healthier alternative.
