Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 4 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté the meat in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat, then add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Combine the cooked meat mixture with tomato sauce, uncooked rice, chopped cabbage, broth, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the crockpot and spread it evenly.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours until the cabbage wilts and rice absorbs the broth.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy the rich flavors!
