Effortless and flavorful Crockpot Chicken Tacos, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 8 small tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by placing the chicken breasts right in your crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the chicken.
  3. Pour the salsa on top of the seasoned chicken.
  4. Cover the crockpot and set it to low for 6-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. When the cooking time is up, take two forks and shred the chicken right in the crockpot.
  6. Finally, scoop the chicken mixture onto the small tortillas, then top with cheese, sour cream, diced avocado, and fresh cilantro.

Notes

Prepare the chicken and sauce the night before for an easier morning. Leftovers can be used for burrito bowls.
