  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the creamy mixture, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving enough space for spreading.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
