Soft and heavenly dinner rolls perfect for any meal, combining simplicity with spectacular taste.

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 package active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk and butter in a small saucepan until warm (not hot). Remove from heat and stir in yeast and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and eggs.
  3. Mix until it forms a dough, then knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise by placing it in a greased bowl, covering, and letting rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Shape the dough into rolls after punching it down and dividing it into pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover the rolls and let rise again until doubled (about 30 minutes).
  7. Bake the rolls in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush the rolls with melted butter before serving.

Notes

For tastier rolls, use whole milk instead of skim. If your kitchen is cool, place your dough in a warm spot to help it rise.
