A whimsical treat that resembles dirt and is topped with gummy worms, perfect for any gathering or child’s birthday party.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 container (12 oz) whipped topping
  • Gummy worms (for garnish)
  • Crushed cookies (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs.
  2. Cream together the butter, powdered sugar, and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mixes with milk until thick.
  4. Fold in the whipped topping to the pudding mixture.
  5. Layer the crushed cookie crumbs and pudding mixture in a large bowl, starting and ending with cookie crumbs.
  6. Garnish with gummy worms and additional crushed cookie crumbs.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving.

Notes

Chill for the best flavor; can be made a day in advance.
