A whimsical dessert layered with creamy pudding, crushed Oreos, and topped with gummy worms that brings joy to both kids and adults alike.

  • 1 package Oreo cookies
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (12 ounce) container whipped topping
  • Gummy worms (for garnish)
  • Potted plant (optional for presentation)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo Cookies in a zip-top bag until they resemble dirt.
  2. Prepare the Chocolate Pudding by whisking together the pudding and milk until thickened.
  3. Mix the Cream Cheese Filling by beating the cream cheese and powdered sugar, then fold in the whipped topping.
  4. Combine the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture until fully blended.
  5. Layer your Dirt Cake by placing half of the crushed Oreos at the bottom of a serving dish, followed by half of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layers.
  6. Garnish and Chill your cake with remaining crushed Oreos and gummy worms, then refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

For a fun presentation, serve in a small potted plant lined with plastic wrap. This dessert can be refrigerated for up to three days but is best served fresh.
