Ingredients

  • 3 cups Cereal (small flakes or shapes like Cheerios or Rice Krispies)
  • 1 cup Nut Butter (creamy or crunchy peanut butter, almond butter, or sunbutter)
  • 1/2 cup Liquid Sweetener (agave syrup, honey, or brown rice syrup)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • Protein Powder (optional, adjust quantity as desired)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8-inch square pan with wax or parchment paper.
  2. Soften the Nut Butter: Warm it in the microwave for 15-20 seconds if thick.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, mix cereal, nut butter, sweetener, salt. Add protein powder if using.
  4. Press Mixture into Pan: Pour and compact the mixture evenly into the pan.
  5. Firm Up in the Freezer: Freeze for about 30 minutes until firm.
  6. Cut and Store: Remove from pan, cut into 12 bars, and store in an airtight container.

Notes

Recommended pairings include yogurt topped with fruit or a drizzle of melted dark chocolate for extra flavor.
