  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting
  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes (for topping)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water in a mixing bowl. Stir until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes in the pan.
  5. Poke holes all over the cake using a fork.
  6. Mix together the sweetened condensed milk and shredded coconut in a separate bowl.
  7. Pour the coconut mixture over the cake, covering the holes.
  8. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  9. Spread the chocolate frosting evenly over the top.
  10. Sprinkle coconut flakes on top for decoration and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze individually for up to 3 months.
