Delightful French toast cups that bring all the joy of classic French toast into portable little servings, perfect for breakfast any day.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter (for greasing)
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin with butter.
  2. Cut each slice of bread into quarters and press them into the muffin tin.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread, ensuring each cup is filled.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the tin and serve warm with maple syrup.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use brioche or challah bread. You can easily double the recipe for larger gatherings.
