A quick and comforting homemade version of classic eggrolls, packed with flavors and nostalgia.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground pork or turkey
  • 1 bag (16 oz) coleslaw mix
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Sriracha or hot sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat until it shimmers invitingly.
  2. Brown the meat: Add the ground pork or turkey to the skillet and cook until it browns, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for an additional minute until you can really smell those lovely aromas.
  4. Add the coleslaw mix to the skillet and toss it with the meat until it’s slightly wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce and season with salt, pepper, and the chopped green onions for that fresh kick.
  6. Cook it all together for another minute until everything is perfectly combined.
  7. Serve hot, and if you like a bit of heat, top your bowl with Sriracha or your favorite hot sauce.
