  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup corn starch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spice Coating: In a large bowl, mix the flour, corn starch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Coat the Chicken: Toss the chicken pieces in the flour mixture until fully coated.
  3. Cook the Chicken to Perfection: In a hot skillet over medium heat, add some oil and cook the chicken until it’s golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Create the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together chicken broth, soy sauce, honey, hot sauce, and sesame oil.
  5. Coat the Chicken in Sauce: Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to coat.
  6. Simmer and Thicken: Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce is thickened.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of water or broth.
