Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Firecracker Sauce by mixing together hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Create the coating by dipping the chicken pieces into flour, then beaten eggs, and finally coating with breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat enough oil for frying in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Add the chicken pieces carefully to the hot oil, frying until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add the Firecracker Sauce over the cooked chicken, tossing gently to coat.
  6. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider double-dipping the chicken in egg and breadcrumbs before frying.
