  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven – Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Bread – Slice your preferred loaf of bread into cubes, aiming for about 1-inch chunks.
  3. Whisk the Custard – In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until fully combined.
  4. Soak the Bread – Gently fold the bread cubes into the custard mixture, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  5. Grease the Muffin Tin – Using butter or oil, grease a muffin tin well to prevent sticking.
  6. Fill the Muffin Tin – Spoon the soaked bread mixture into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup to the brim.
  7. Bake to Perfection – Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden.
  8. Cool and Serve – Once out of the oven, let the French toast cups cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
