Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry mixture and beat until smooth.
  4. Fold in the rainbow sprinkles gently.
  5. Fill the prepared cake pans evenly with the batter.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cakes in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring them.
  8. Frost and decorate as desired once cooled.
