Delightful roasted cabbage steaks flavored with garlic butter and smoked paprika, offering a cozy and satisfying meal.

  • 1 head green cabbage
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and cut it into 1-inch thick slices.
  3. Arrange your cabbage slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides generously with olive oil.
  4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  5. Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over both sides of the cabbage steaks.
  6. Sprinkle each steak with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
  7. Roast the cabbage for 20 minutes, then flip and roast for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Once they are out of the oven, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and a dash of red pepper flakes. Serve immediately.

Notes

Leftover cabbage steaks can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
