A comforting bowl of savory ground beef, hearty vegetables, and a sweet and spicy hot honey glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, and soy sauce to the cooked beef. Stir to combine.
  3. In the same skillet, add mixed vegetables and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in hot honey until everything is coated. Adjust sweetness as desired.
  5. To assemble, place cooked rice in a bowl, top with the hot honey beef mixture, and garnish with chopped green onions.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Use lean ground beef for a lighter dish. Swap ground beef for turkey or chicken for a different flavor. For a vegetarian option, substitute with black beans or chickpeas.
