A creamy and flavorful ground beef stroganoff served over tender egg noodles, perfect for a cozy family meal.

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and bubbly.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about four minutes until soft.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Brown the ground beef, breaking it into small crumbles until fully cooked.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir well to coat the meat.
  6. Pour in the beef broth, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  7. Add the Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard, stirring to combine.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper, and stir again.
  9. Simmer for five minutes until the sauce thickens.
  10. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
  11. Mix in sour cream until fully incorporated and smooth.
  12. Combine the drained egg noodles with the beef mixture, stirring gently.
  13. Serve garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, try incorporating mushrooms or peas. Greek yogurt can be used instead of sour cream for a healthier option.
