A comforting, creamy Ground Beef Stroganoff that brings back cherished memories of home-cooked meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are soft.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir well to combine.
  5. Gradually add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  6. Reduce heat to low and stir in the sour cream.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute with ground turkey or chicken and Greek yogurt for sour cream. You can also add a splash of white wine for flavor at step 5.
