Warm, fluffy Hawaiian rolls filled with savory deli meat and cheese, topped with a buttery garlic mixture.

Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 lb deli meat (ham or turkey)
  • 8 slices of cheese (Swiss or cheddar)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 2 tbsp mustard (honey or yellow)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a baking dish.
  3. Layer the deli meat evenly over the rolls, then add a layer of cheese.
  4. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  5. Create the butter mixture by melting butter and mixing in garlic powder, poppy seeds, and mustard.
  6. Pour the butter mixture over the top of the rolls.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the tops are golden brown.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

Great for gatherings and can be prepared ahead of time. Use a sharp knife for slicing rolls.
