A vibrant and nutritious mix of veggies, grains, and proteins in easy-to-prepare bento box meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rice or quinoa
  • 1/2 cup steamed broccoli
  • 1/2 cup sliced carrots
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup protein (grilled chicken, tofu, or hard-boiled eggs)
  • Soy sauce or teriyaki sauce for drizzling
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare your base by cooling the rice or quinoa.
  2. Steam the broccoli until bright green and tender.
  3. Assemble the cooled rice or quinoa at the base of your bento box.
  4. Neatly arrange your steamed broccoli, sliced carrots, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber on top of the rice.
  5. Add your choice of protein next to the fresh veggies.
  6. Drizzle soy sauce or teriyaki sauce over your bento.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds for extra crunch.

Notes

Bento boxes can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days; keep sauce separate until serving.
