A guilt-free twist on the classic apple crisp, combining warm, juicy apples with a crunchy, sweet topping, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup protein powder
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the sliced apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Combine the oats, almond flour, protein powder, honey (or maple syrup), and melted coconut oil in another bowl.
  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the crisp topping generously over the apples.
  6. If using nuts, sprinkle them on top of the crisp.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy with yogurt or ice cream, if desired.

Notes
