A delightful tropical dessert featuring layers of angel food cake, crushed pineapple, and whipped topping, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 box of angel food cake mix
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Fresh fruit for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the angel food cake mix.
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions and pour it into a greased 9×13 inch pan. Bake until golden and fluffy, as instructed.
  3. Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack.
  4. Poke holes all over the top of the cooled cake with a fork.
  5. Add the undrained crushed pineapple over the cake, ensuring it seeps into all the holes.
  6. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the pineapple layer.
  7. Sprinkle shredded coconut over the whipped topping and add chopped nuts if using.
  8. Garnish the top of the cake with fresh fruit slices if desired.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
