A delightful twist on traditional banana bread, combining rich chocolate flavor with a hearty protein punch.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1 cup gluten-free flour
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in the cocoa powder, protein powder, gluten-free flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  4. Add honey or maple syrup and applesauce; mix until well blended.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

For extra richness, consider adding dark chocolate chips to the batter. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for up to a week.
