Deliciously cheesy garlic breadsticks that are quick to prepare and perfect for pairing with soups or serving as an appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Italian bread
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt the butter over medium heat and add the minced garlic, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet.
  4. Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously over the buttered bread.
  6. Season with dried oregano and a pinch of salt.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley, slice into sticks, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crunch, broil the breadsticks for the last minute of baking. Use different cheeses or fresh herbs for variations.
