Transform fresh fruits into delightful homemade fruit leather, a chewy, fruity snack that can be enjoyed for weeks.

Ingredients

  • Fresh fruit (such as strawberries, apples, or mangoes)
  • Sweetener (optional, such as honey or sugar)
  • Lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Puree the Fresh Fruit: Start with your chosen fruits. Toss them into a blender and puree until the mixture is completely smooth.
  2. Sweeten & Brighten (Optional): Add in sweetener and lemon juice to enhance flavor.
  3. Spread the Fruit Puree: Find a lined baking sheet and spread your fruit puree evenly across it.
  4. Dehydrate the Mixture: Place the baking sheet in an oven set to a low temperature—around 140°F (60°C) and leave it for about 6-8 hours.
  5. Cut and Roll Up: Once dried, let it cool, then cut the fruit leather into strips and roll them up in parchment paper.

Notes

Ensure your fruits are ripe for the best flavors. If sticky, give it further drying time.
